Features & Specification
- 6 Splines Mandrel provides a gentler stretching action that puts less stress on the ring. Stretching is a gradual act, not as sudden as it would be with 4 Splines Stretchers
- Smooth and polished double sided band reducing plate. It has same range of holes but different in the slope of the depressions with one being more steeply cut than the other.
- Made from Chromium Steel, hardened to 45 HRC
- 4 pre-drilled holes on the base for bench mounting
- The marking on the mandrel is in Hong Kong size from 6 to 33.

Suggestions & Cautions
- Anneal maybe helpful to soften the ring to afford expansion of the metal.
- For an even expension, stretch slightly each time, rotate the ring to stretch again. A few time after, flip the ring upside down on the spline and stretch again. Same during ring size reduction.
- This tool is not recommended for Stone set rings
- Inspect for thin shanks and solder joints that may break apart before stretching
- Always have ring in place (for expansion or reduction) when operate.
- Reducing plate is used to slightly reduce the size of plain round precious metal (gold, silver and platinum) bands. The size reduction depends on the thickness and width of the band, usually not more than half of a US finger size.
- How much the ring can be stretched depends on the thickness and type of band and the operator. Thin bands size up less than thicker bands. Generally it can't expand more than 1 US finger size.

To reduce rust in storage and transport, metal tools received may come in with a coat of grease or oil. To remove grease we recommend using degreaser and a rag.
